Cinemartyr - No Legacy

Shane Harrington, an Irish composer, founded Cinemartyr (formerly OST) in Limerick, Ireland, in 2012. Shortly after, the group moved to New York. The band has so far put out five CDs with a variety of musical styles. A sombre experimental rock album called Invisible Ink For Sketching Ghosts was published in February 2012, and Dreams During Hibernation followed in 2015. Uncaused, the third album by Cinemartyr, was released in 2016 and adopted a more indie/folk style. The ambient and noise experiments album Suffer New York Love then appeared in 2017.

Shane Harrington (vocals, guitars), Amber Moon Voltson (vocals, guitars), Aaron CT (bass), and David Goldman  (drums) make up the live band lineup.

This is their new single, called No Legacy. The song starts with an amazing and heavy riff/drumming, very tasty and dynamic and the vocals are clean but very intense. The sound is robust and the production is spot on, as well as the performance by the band. What I like the most about the song is the originality in combining different genres, leaving the listeners with the question "what's coming up next?", especially during the second part. Definitely a very interesting and different band. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Cinemartyr on social media.
