Queen Cult - Stop Calling (official video)

Queen Cult, based in Macclesfield, was founded by lead vocalist and guitarist Maisie Johnson, drummer Brodie Carson, and bassist Piers Jarvis.

The band issued its fiery and politically charged first EP 'Woman That I Know' in January 2022, followed by a second EP, 'For Now Not Forever', in February 2023. In 2023, they released a few standalone songs, including their first self-produced hit, 'Sneaky Freaque'.

Queen Cult's music has received support from Spotify playlists such as New Music Friday UK, All New Rock, Rainbow, Pulp, Shockwave, Fresh Finds, as well as Apple playlists such as The New Rock, Alternative Rock, and New in Rock. They've also racked up specific airplay on radio programmes including BBC Radio 1 and Kerrang.

The new single Stop Calling was written Maisie Johnson: “It came about when I witnessed someone receiving unwanted attention and they felt frustrated that their boundaries were being constantly crossed. Sometimes you just want to tell someone to shut the f*ck up!"

This is my kind of song and my kind of lyrics (I once wrote an angry song about call centers too!), very angry and straightforward. I love the video too, very enjoyable and fun to watch. The performance of the band is spot on (catchy vocals, amazing rhythm section and memorable riffs) and the production is perfect for the genre. Give it a go and follow Queen Cult on social media.
