Noiseheads - Hey (Official Lyric Video)

Noiseheads' self-produced debut, "1994", dropped in 2013, defining their signature sound. Their self-titled 2015 EP and "Sitcoms For Aliens" (2017) earned high praise, with Overblown Magazine calling their music “direct, grungy, and catchy as the Spanish flu.”

Building a devoted underground fanbase, they caught industry attention, sharing stages with Collective Soul, Fuel, K. Flay, and the Psychedelic Furs. After a brief hiatus, they returned in 2019, collaborating with Grammy nominee Lincoln Parish and recording tracks with the legendary Steve Albini (Nirvana and The Pixies).  Their 2022 EP, blending sessions from both producers, became the second most-added independent self-release on college radio and drew critical acclaim.

The band presents their new single "Hey" as "a gritty, hook-driven track exploring the tension between gratitude and longing — emotionally raw yet tightly executed. For fans of Turnstile, Joyce Manor, Superheaven, and Nirvana." I love the grunge mood and the sound, with powerful drums and punchy guitars. The vocals are melodic and punchy at the same time, reminding me of something in between Silverchair and The Smashing Pumpkins. A quality song, if you are into the genre, you will love this one.
