Formed in Istanbul in 2025, modern alternative metal outfit Am I On is spearheaded by guitarist Onur Narin and drummer Emrah Çelenk, who write, produce, and direct the band's core vision. Joining the Turkish duo on their debut releases is American vocalist Brady Turner, whose background in jazz and soul adds a unique depth to the band's heavy, atmospheric sound. Their name hits on a central question: are we truly awake, conscious, and switched on to what's happening in the world around us?
Blending progressive, intense drumming, razor-sharp guitar riffs, and lush ambient synthesizers, the band creates a powerful sonic landscape that sets the stage for their upcoming debut EP, Awakeness, dropping in late 2026.
Their heavy-hitting single, “There Is Nothing Human,” delivers a fiercely atmospheric modern metal anthem that stands firmly against violence and abuse. Building in intensity through dynamic layers and shifting moods, the track explodes with incredible guitar solos, monstrous riffs, and an insanely catchy chorus. Backed by genre-perfect, pristine production, "There Is Nothing Human" is a deeply meaningful, high-octane track that commands attention from start to finish.
