Dallas-based singer-songwriter David Howls (originally from Salt Lake City) is tearing down the house with his single “The Great Deception.” Born from the ashes of a broken engagement where total honesty blew everything to pieces, the track is a loud, raw confession packed with heartbreak, anger, and straight-up frustration—balanced out by a sweeter, hopeful hit of light through the trees.
Channeling pure, heavy-hitting alt-rock vibes in the sweet spot between Muse and Placebo, the song boasts stellar, polished production and a massive, ultra-punchy chorus that sticks in your head instantly. It’s an absolute quality track from every angle, featuring a killer performance that grips you tight and doesn't let go from start to finish..
