Groan room - Greasy thumbs

Groan room are inspired by groan room's ear-splitting, rowdy, and hook-heavy music - grunge and brit-pop with a healthy dash of slacker-rock thrown in for good measure. Before getting together in the practice studio, the Salford-based four-piece of seasoned musicians cut their teeth on the North West's band scene.

The songs are full of self-deprecation and a sardonic apathy about life and some of the horrible curveballs it throws our way. The lyrics are driven by the unnerving anguish of your mid-late twenties, which can also be heard in the screeching and groaning of distorted guitars and the fierce energy blasted out by the band's superb rhythm section.

This is their new single, called Greasy thumbs. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow Groan room on social media.
