Heavy Rotation - February 2022

Hi guys, here for the usual appointment where I tell you what I have listened to during this month.
So, let's get started. Lots of new releases but... what I listened to more than everything is a very old live: The Beatles on the rooftop. I fell in love with the Get Back documentary and after that I enjoyed several times the performance of The Beatles. Their last one, unfortunately. This is a new release and you can find id everywhere. Impressive how the band had something like 15 days from writing to perform the songs live. If you ask Metallica they take 15 years, probably.

I listened quite a bit to the latest Eddie Vedder album, Earthling (click for the review) and the new Scorpions, Rock Believer, two good albums, especially the one from the German band. I didn't dig out much last album by Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and The conspirators - 4 because I don't like how it sounds. There is a new supergroup called NHC featuring Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters) and Dave Navarro. I really recommend it, very interesting. it's called Intakes & Outtakes.

Remember that I add songs daily to the playlist, best of 2022, with my favourite songs of this year from famous bands (you will find the bands I mentioned above) and independent ones.

What was in Heavy rotation for you, during this cold (Well, it depends on where you live) February?

Giovanni Gagliano

Passionate about music I wrote my first article for "Given To Rock" in 2012, reaching now 30K global followers. I am also a musician, gigging around London.
