NEW COLLECTIVE ’THE ENDLESS HUM’ ANNOUNCE SHOWS AT KIRKGATE CENTRE, SHIPLEY, BRADFORD

THE ENDLESS HUM #1 LINE-UP FEATURES: BEIGE BANQUET, OBEY COBRA, NAPE NECK - 7TH MAY

The Endless Hum is a new collaborative effort organised by five local artists musicians and friends based in the world heritage site of Saltaire, Bradford.  Coming together over a mutual craving for tasteful live music post-lockdown, the aim is to bring something back to the Shipley community in the spirit of the now defunct but much loved Golden Cabinet nights.

Their plan is to hold bi-monthly events at the beautiful Kirkgate Centre showcasing what they believe to be some of the best current examples of experimental music across the UK (and further). Whether that's post-punk, electronica cold-wave, noise, hip-hop, shoegaze, kosmiche, noise-rock, nowave etc each night will be diverse inclusive and memorable.

The Endless Hum #1 is set to take place on 7th May featuring:

BEIGE BANQUET (London)

Initially starting out as a bedroom project in London over the worst year of recent history (2020) BB have now grown into a fully functioning five-piece live band. Their debut album ‘Beta’ released last year on Swish Swash is a tour de force in retro drum machines, angular art-punk and monotone chanted vocals. A must-see for any long time fans of Devo, Suicide and more recently acclaimed bands; Molchat Doma, The Uranium Club and Oh Sees.

OBEY COBRA (Cardiff)

Following the release of their debut album ‘Oblong’, Obey Cobra have quickly carved themselves a reputation of seamlessly blending previously unblendable genres. Everything from punk, psychedelia, shoegaze and electronics come together to form a formidable live show only visible through a thick layer of feedback. They’ve supported the likes of Pigsx7, Hey Colossus and Acid Mothers Temple to name a few. Truly unique and worthy of your attention.

NAPE NECK (Leeds)

“A trio from Leeds playing post-punk that’s simultaneously tangled and taut danceable and destructed all while resisting any attempts to be easily situated as the latest addition to a specific geographic and genre-based continuum that stretches back to GANG OF FOUR and DELTA 5.” – Maximum RocknRoll
