Young Winona - Red Dress

Young Winona is a Los Angeles-based alternative music band made up of three migrated New Zealanders. Cassie Gaffaney (vocals/guitar), Geoff Maddock (bass), and Nick Gaffaney (drums) lead the band, which plays raw, boisterous, and catchy rock with a distinct Kiwi edge. The songs are a reflection of life in Los Angeles for musicians so far away, with inspirations ranging from 90s alternative rock acts like Garbage, Pixies, Blur, and Nirvana to more modern acts like Palehound, Courtney Barnett, and Best Coast.

This is their new single, called “Red Dress” released on March 31, 2022 on Poor Man Records. The song has a really good sound and very interesting lyrics, with a very contagious chorus and a guitar solo towards the end of the song.
