Interview - Jane N' The Jungle

Jordan White, a fiery female firecracker vocalist/songwriter from Phoenix, AZ, guitarist Brian Dellis, and bassist Big B make up Jane N' The Jungle. The band draws inspiration from Pat Benatar, Soundgarden, and P!NK, and blends dynamic current rock with 90's alt and a dose of punk attitude.

- How would you describe your sound?
We are a female fronted modern rock band with a 90's grunge influence.

What do you write about?
All different sorts of emotion, life experiences and things that inspire us.

What do you listen to when you are home?
I listen to a bunch of different playlists and have them spin so I can hear new music.

Your favourite live performance so far?
I really enjoyed playing at SXSW this year at the Lady Bird Lake Stage main stage.

Tell us a funny story that happened in studio or on stage.
We were in the studio recently and I was worried I left the hot iron on from earlier in the morning. I tried to work and not think about it but it kept bugging me. I ended up leaving to check on the hot tool which ended up not being left on but it took a couple hours driving back and forth. I’m sure there are funnier moments in the studio or on stage but sometimes it all becomes a blur while in the moment.

A musician you would like to meet for a beer?
Lzzy Hale. We could go to a water tasting, I’ve always wanted to go to one!

What would you ask for backstage, if you were the most important band on earth?
An infrared sauna.

What are your plans for the near future?
We are releasing new singles off our upcoming EP, booking shows and will continue to make music and live the dream!
