The Dust Collectors - Murder, I Wrote

A four-piece alternative folk band from Calgary, Alberta, Canada is called The Dust Collectors. In the winter of 2018, they had finished recording their debut Demos EP and were performing live around the Calgary music scene.

The group works collaboratively to write songs. The band's blend of country, folk, and rock is both bitter and sweet to the listener's ears and is reminiscent of classic ensembles like The Band and CSNY because each member has different sources of inspiration. Each member of this group contributes vocally, which is what really makes them stand out. They alternate lead vocal duties, and their seamless four-part harmonies have come to characterise their ever-growing setlist of original songs.

This is their new single, called Murder, I Wrote. I really like the pace and the mood of this one, with calm and relaxed vocals and a classy arrangement (I love the guitars, very old style). The song has also a great production and it's very enjoyable from start to finish.
