Song of the day: The War Toys - Little Gallows

The War Toys, the failing spawn of the post-Darwinian west, are prophets of doom, peddling candy coated pop punk melodies in the spirit of "A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down." Collin Deatherage on lead vocals/rhythm guitar, Thomas Rojo on bass, and Jordan Palmer on drums make up the Los Angeles-based band The War Toys.

This is their new single, the band said: "Little Gallows aims to invoke images of freedom, addiction, and regret. Through the soft sultry tones, The War Toys deliver a story of addiction from the outside perspective." I really like the guitar riff, very grungy, and the overall spirit of the song, with relaxed verses (great vocals) and a dynamic and precise rhythm section. The song is overall very enjoyable from start to finish and with a very good sound too.
