Lone Dread is a Greek heavy grunge band that started in 2019. Panos Korres (Vocals), Marinos Sofiou (Guitar), Fotis Kasimatis (Bass), and Vaggelis Papoutsis (Drums) formed a strong live group that rapidly gained a following. Lone Dread's 90s grunge sound, mixed with hard rock and metal elements and dark and angry lyrics, makes categorizing the band difficult. That is what distinguishes them. Consolation Day is their first public release of their upcoming EP in 2023. Giannis Damianos recorded and mixed the entire EP, while Fotis Benardo (Devasounz Studios) recorded the drums.
I love the riffs, very inspired and the overall production, is perfect for the genre. The chorus is absolutely catchy and it will probably get stuck in your head. The performance by the four guys is spot on and the song is very enjoyable from start to finish, with also a super tasty solo section.
