Song of the day: Apewards - Stories

Apewards is a Marburg, Germany-based stoner/blues rock power trio. The band is recognized for their tight live performances, inventive genre blending, and for being the loudest band in town. Apewards locked themselves in the unique RedRoof Loftsound studio in the summer of 2022 to record a new, all-analog album "direct-to-tape" with producer Matt Korr (Tiamat, Daily Thompson, Knights of the Realm). Musically, the band refused to be constrained by genre limitations. As a consequence, each song is a unique piece of the puzzle that emerges in a cohesive and diversified work of art.

On May 20, 2023, the album "Akrasia" was published online, on CD, and on vinyl.

This is their single, called Stories. I love the riffing and the overall production, vibrant and energetic. Great vocals as well, catchy and melodic but punchy at the same time.
