Deer Park Avenue is a sister duet of Indian-Americans from Munich, Germany. Their new single "Strut," featuring GRAMMY® Award-winning drummer Gregg Bissonette, is filled with seductive melodies, grit, power, and pop sensibilities while rocking a retro-fresh atmosphere. Sarah (vocals, guitar) and Steph (drums, vocals) Snyder discovered music as children.
Strut is a joyful, blistering rock song that highlights the sisters' mastery of dynamics to the fullest. The voices begin with a soft, personal cadence, almost speaking through the verses, before bursting into a gravelly, roaring epic chorus. With taut, fiery riffs scorching over a strut-worthy groove, the rock sisters are securely in the pocket. Throughout, Steph's drumming are large and strong, easily sustaining her melodic, instinctively Bonhamesque beat down a constant sound motorway.
Gregg Bissonette, the sisters' musical guru, performs a show-stopping drum solo on the single. Bissonette is well-known for his work with Santana, David Lee Roth, Ringo Starr, and others.
Speaking of which I love the middle part of the song, with amazing drum fills, but I really like the general spirit of the song, energetic and catchy at the same time, with great vocals, inspired guitars and with the perfect sound for the genre.
