Song of the day: Free Under Fire - Airplane Over Texas

Free Under Fire is a Canadian rock band recognized for their innovative but nostalgic rock style and spectacular live performances. They were formed in Toronto, Ontario, and released their debut album Beauty in Extremes in 2022.

The summer single "Aeroplane Over Texas" was inspired by a tongue-in-cheek allusion to ZZ Top and the desire for the listener to emotionally release oneself in times of suffering. They capture that in a bar floor rocking, Trans-Am burn out romp that leaves you feeling liberated with their unique sound.

I really like the vibrating production and performance, with great guitars (what a sound!) a dynamic and precise rhythm section and very catchy vocals. The song has a contagious mood, give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and remember to follow Free Under Fire on social media.
