The Heavy North, a 6-piece garage/blues rock band based in Liverpool, England, formed in 2018.
The band members are Kenny Stuart (singer), Jose Ibanez (guitarist/producer), Andrew Horrocks (bass), Jack Birch (guitarist), Ste Penn (keys), and Mark Rice (drums).
Their new single, 'The Genie (Live)', comes off the band's upcoming debut live album, 'Fire In The Furnace', which was recorded during The Heavy North's 12-piece band event at the Camp and Furnace in Liverpool in December 2023, and features the Northern String Quartet, brass section and backing vocals.

I love the riffs and the overall live performance by the band, absolutely perfect. Catchy bluesy vocals and very inspired guitar riffs for a song where all the (numerous) musicians are perfectly blending together.
