Like many Los Angeles-based creatives, each member of the band American Mile flocked to the City of Angels from small towns to pursue their dreams. Their brand new song "Straight From The Heartland" is about following your dreams while never forgetting where you came from and being the catalyst for your persistence. It's a tribute to the strength and resilience it takes to commit to being a working musician.
The song has a slow start but it becomes upbeat (and super catchy) almost straight away. I love the chorus and vocal harmonies, it's amazingly performed and produced and it's got a classy arrangement as well, with an instrumental and very enjoyable finale.
