I spent half of the month in Italy, where I had full access to my old CD collection and some free time for myself. If I were to list all the albums I've listened to, I would likely overwhelm the internet. However, I'd like to share the CD that I listened to a few times—something I haven't heard in years. But first, as usual, I'll focus on the new releases.
Parasomnia, the new Dream Theater with Mike Portnoy, finally. You can read the full review by clicking here in case you missed it. The new G3 reunion album tour with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson. I don't have to tell you the quality of the release. Among new releases, there is also a very good album by The Hellacopters, Overdriver. Short and sweet.
Tyranny, my favourite album by Shadow Gallery (listening to it right now...), great live albums by AC/DC, Bryan Adams and Annihilator, Death Magnetic by Metallica (probably their best album after 2000), the most controversial album by Bruce Dickinson, Skunkworks (I like a few songs, though) and a great sountrack by Jon Bon Jovi, Blaze of Glory.
There is also an album by Zoo Story, something I've discovered thanks (again) to the TV series Bad Sisters. A very cool album, in between Muse and Radiohead (well, these two bands have lots of things in common). Maybe you will be surprised to know that I like the debut album by Coldplay, a very cool album before getting too pop. Give it a chance, if you don't know it you may be surprised.
I sort of kept it short, but I could have mentioned lots of other albums.
