Hyperfix - Snake in the Grass

Hyperfix is an American band from Boston that is about to release singles from their debut EP, "Just Like All the Broken Hearts Before." The band consists of guitarist Kyle Champeon, vocalist Nolan Donato, bassist Riley Feeney, and drummer Ethan Leff.

This is their brand new song, Snake in the Grass. The band comments: "It's driving backbeat and pulsing rhythm create a lively atmosphere with undertones of ominous danger lurking just beneath. This is a perfect match for the lyrical content, which through metaphor tells a story of one who has fallen victim to a snake-like person. You know the type: someone cunning and elusive, waiting to strike others down at any sign of weakness. The entire song continues to rise in energy, with dynamic vocals and synchronized riffs accentuating the buildup. Finally, the band kicks into its 5th gear, culminating in a full-throttle guitar solo at the end."

I love the main riff and the catchy and energetic vocals. The song features perfect production for the genre and a tasty rhythm section as well (I really like the bass lines during the chorus). The song has a contagious and energetic mood, and the band performs it amazingly (listen to the solo!). It's a quality song.
