- Hi and welcome to this interview. Tell us about your latest release.
M: This album simply means everything that happened in the last 20 years...is a concept that talks about the evolution of life from being a "dreaming lad", to a man that is a father of two kids. All the songs had several rebirths through the years, till they reached the maturity we thought was right.
And there it is!! Big Bang Attack. Big Bang Attack is our first release so it is the result of many years spent trying to let our dreams come true; it is something that equally represents the musical soul of the three of us.
- How would you describe your sound?
M: Pretty similar to the very first Heavy Metal bands just like Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and and and, but with a taste of modernity in terms of style and also musical genre.
A:Well, our sound is inspired by the bands we where grown up with. We are talking about, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest and I would say, first Queen’s album.
R: I think is our version of the NWOBHM, those groups have been such an huge inspiration for us.
- What do you write about?
M: Matters of life and dreams...all that catches my attention during the "happenings of life", and every dream that leaves a sign, is the main inspiration for me.
A: We don’t have a main subject. We deal with everything that comes to our mind. Maybe we see a movie, or we read a book that gives us the right inspiration.
R: Our album is somehow a concept album, really different songs linked together by a story.
- What do you listen to when you are home?
M: I listen to any kind of music I'm in the mood for. It could be really anything.
A: I listen to every kind of music. It depends on the day’s feeling. The beauty of music is that you have so many nuances that adapt to your state of mind in that certain moment. I get inspired by every genre.
R: In these days Children of Bodom, Jinjer, Judas Priest and my life companion Marillion.
- Your favourite live performance so far?
M: You mean my performance or other band's performance!!??? ? ..once we opened for PFM, a great Italian band, and it has been so cool!!! Talking about my favorite live concert ever I have to say Queen live Hyppodrome 1973.
- Tell us a funny story that happened in studio or on stage.
M: When our past drummer threw up while playing a gig...a gig that was his very first gig!!! The bass player threw up too as he saw him and I was simply cracking up in the microphone instead or singing!!
- Your favourite albums?
M: The Freddie Mercury Album, Holy Diver, Symphony of Enchanted Lands, The Number of the Beast
Horizon (Hironobu Kageyama), Queen 2, News of the World.
