The video shows us in this tight, almost claustrophobic space—no distractions, just the band and the intensity. I also shot scenes of me skating through Seattle, which was my way of saying “I don’t care anymore.” I grew up skating, so it felt right. I did wipe out hard and fractured my wrist, which sucked—but we kept it in the video. That moment kinda says it all.
If you follow Given To Rock, you know that I don't share many covers, but I think this one is spectacular, both in terms of sound and performance. I love the sound of the drums and the vocals are spot on, energetic and punchy, but also honoring the original Phil Collins version, despite the different style. But let the music do the talking and give I Don’t Care Anymore a go by clicking on the YouTube player below, and remember to follow Thadeus Gonzalez on social media.
