Calty - Part of Me | Official Music Video 🎸 A Rock Tribute to Fatherhood

Born in 1987 in the south of France, Calty grew up immersed in rock culture, with Queen and Bon Jovi sparking a lifelong musical journey. Influenced by legendary bands like Scorpions, Guns N' Roses, and Aerosmith, his passion expanded into heavy and power metal, alongside classical music, blues, and pop icons like Elton John and Billy Joel.

Determined to become a musician, he started playing drums at 12, later mastering guitar and piano to refine his artistic expression. After performing in multiple bands, he launched CALTY—a project where he builds the musical universe, playing most instruments while collaborating with vocalists suited to each composition.

Through CALTY, the artist explores personal themes, as seen in “Part of Me,” a heartfelt song dedicated to his daughter. He described the song: "It's about the profound transformation of becoming a father - an intimate, universal, sometimes silent experience, which I wanted to translate into words and music. “Part of Me” is a heartfelt ballad, driven by raw emotion and a melody that is both gentle and powerful. It explores the invisible but indestructible bond that unites us with those we love, and that drives us to grow and reinvent ourselves."

Well, I became a father not even two years ago, so I can deeply connect with this beautiful song. Part of Me is a quality from every point of view, with amazing solos, very intense vocals (both performance and lyrics), and a quality video as well. It brings me back to the golden 80s and 90s ballad era. Give it a go and follow Calty on social media as well.
