The artist about the song: "It’s a concept single. I imagined a government agency that measures and promotes empathy as a natural resource. I wrote it and sing in that character’s voice. It’s purely coincidental that I’m finishing it just as empathy is increasingly in short supply and, most especially, from our current leaders. This is the last song I finished with my dear, departed pal Ducky Carlisle and it was partially inspired by me helping him with his struggles in the last few years of his life."
I love the pace of the song and the classic rock vibes. It reminds me a lot of The Beatles in many aspects (the super catchy chorus, the melodic break and the riffs at the end of the song) and I love the performance (the drumming is fantastic, simple but very tasty). "Empathy Centre" is a quality song with a very cool video as well, enjoyable from start to finish. Give it a go by clicking on the video above and follow Corin Ashley.
