Realigned - Oblivious Child

Realigned originated in 2002 as a laid-back collaboration between childhood friends Ty La Croix (Lead Guitar) and Justin Moore (Drums) in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Their casual jam sessions took on new energy after crossing paths with Brian Eubanks (Rhythm Guitar & Lead Vocals) at a local karaoke bar—a pivotal moment that sparked a deeper creative bond. With the addition of Josh Duran (Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals), the band began shaping their identity in the hard rock scene, defined by distinctive melodies, driving rhythms, and electrifying guitar solos.

Following a decade of releases—including a series of singles and EPs—the group stepped away in 2012 due to diverging career paths. But in 2019, the original lineup reunited with renewed focus, diving into the creation of their first full-length studio album.

This is Oblivious Child, the opener of their selt titled album. I love the sound (the guitars sound fantastic) and the overall performance, with inspired riffs, catchy vocals and a super solid and powerful rhythm section. The song reminds me of WVH Mammoth, for some aspects (even for the solo section). A very cool song, no frills and a good compromise between old and new school.
