Silk Letdown - Too Far

Silk Letdown is reigniting the spirit of the Pacific Northwest rock scene, blending electrifying riffs, infectious hooks, and rhythmic funk to captivate fans of 1990s and 2000s alt-rock, as well as seasoned musicians alike. Channeling the raw power of grunge and the edge of hard rock, the band delivers with modern precision and flair, aiming to spark a full-blown alt-rock revival. With nods to the eclectic sounds of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, and Incubus, Silk Letdown weaves a vibrant mix of funk rock, grunge, and sun-drenched West Coast vibes, all while flirting with elements of prog, blues, and jazz.

This is their new single, Too Far. The band describes it: "This song is meant to get your energy revving in the gym or wherever you wanna push yourself to that healthy limit of addictive self-punishment. A strong bass and drums intro rolls into a massive riff, followed by intense verse vocals. The funky pre-chorus gets you moving into the soaring vocals and guitar of the chorus. And that guitar solo takes you to the next level."

I love the bass line at the beginning of the song and the overall energetic mood, with very dynamic drumming, catchy vocals, and very inspired guitar lines (check out the long solo section). A very cool song with a killer production as well. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below, and remember to follow Silk Letdown on social media.
