Spin Class - Calamari Canteen

Spin Class fuse proggy riffs and infectious hooks into a grunge-tinged, desert rock whirlwind—ironic, given they hail from one of the soggiest corners of the world. Their music dives deep into the mind’s eye, driven by an ADHD-fueled surge of vivid, kaleidoscopic riffs. Beyond the studio, they collaborate with local musicians, illustrators, and creatives to amplify both their work and the artistic community around them. Their live shows and music videos deliver a high-voltage spectacle—growing louder, stranger, and more unforgettable with every beat.

Their new song "Calamari Canteen" is incredibly eclectic and original, with riffs that remind me a bit of Primus, at least to my ears. It carries an alternative rock vibe in the catchy chorus, which really stands out. The tempo change at 2:25 is fantastic, blending an angry Black Sabbath energy with Queens of the Stone Age. It's a quality performance and a super cool song. Definitely give it a listen and don't forget to follow the band on Instagram, if you like what you hear.
