The SilverTongues are a powerhouse rock group made up of guitarist and vocalist Daniel Medeiros, bassist and vocalist Austin Robinson, and drummers Matt Ehrke and Juan Valdovinos. Their music blends elements of hard rock, pop rock, and the raw energy of 1990s metal, delivering performances full of blazing guitar solos, memorable hooks, and driving rhythms.
They first made a splash in 2016 with their debut album Up From Ashes, a 13-track release that showcased the talents of Daniel, Austin, and Juan. After a year of touring and promoting the album, the trio began working on new material for a follow-up. In mid-2018, Juan stepped away from the band, and Matt Ehrke—also known for his work with The Relative Minimum—joined as the new drummer. With renewed momentum, Daniel, Matt, and Austin released their second album Stay Saucy in April 2019, continuing their rise in the rock scene.
In 2025, the band reunited with Juan, expanding into a four-member lineup. They’re now actively creating new music together, with fresh releases on the horizon.
Their new song is titled "Flow State." The band states: "This song's about getting into your flow state (hence the title) and shifting your mindset from areas of potential negativity to positive ones to use your gifts to uplift others." It's an energetic song, very direct and in between a few genres (definitely Grunge but with a heavier approach in terms of sound). I love the vocals, with melodic lines, but robust and punchy at the same time. The song features a fantastic solo, very technical, and the guitars in general sound fantastic. Give it a go and follow The SilverTongues on social media as well.
