Black Cliffs - Last Song

Black Cliffs began in 2017 as a collaboration between childhood friends from Kungsbacka, Sweden. The original lineup, Per Hemberg (vocals), Daniel Larsson (drums), Johan Rutgersson (guitar), and Philip Lindgren (bass), recorded several tracks at Kingston Studios, four of which became the Oceans EP later that year. Lennart Kullgren took over on bass in December 2017, and in 2018 Claes Hedström stepped in as lead vocalist.

After a period of growth and refining their sound, the band recorded with producer Jakob Herrman at Top Floor Studios in June 2019. Mixed by Roberto Laghi and mastered by Dragan Tanaskovic, four songs formed the Deeper EP, released on November 12, 2019. Hedström departed in 2023, prompting a pause, but the band reunited in 2025 with new singer Sebastian Wognsen. They’ve since recorded new material at Recordia Studio with producer Johan Reiven.

I love the grunge vibes of their "Last Song" (check out the guitars), the very dynamic rhyhtm section and the vocals, reminding me for some reasons of Phil Collins. It's a very cool song, amazingly performed by the band and with a great sound as well. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and follow Black Cliffs if you like what you hear.
