Founded by former From Nothing songwriter John Amoriello, Old Man Jones delivers hard-hitting Rock & Roll with a punk attitude, bridging the gap between The Cult and Clutch. When the 2020 global pause brought his award-winning metal band to a final stop, Amoriello channeled his hunger for live music into a new era. Alongside Kyle Ragan and C.A. Moon of Weatherly Studios, Old Man Jones recorded two full-length albums in two years and continues to tear up live stages as a full band.
The new song Highway Song is "about a guy who realized his woman is 2 timing him and giving him the run around and everyone tried warm him them he realizes it and just takes on a drive and decides to write a song about it and isn't going stop til he's finishes song and realizes he MD and is now in TN and eventually finishes the song but is now stuck in FL and cant get home", says the artist.
It's a catchy tune, with very inspired guitar (what a sound!) and overall amazingly written, performed and produced as well. It's got some country bits but with an aggressive sound.
