Void Queen return with “Downtown,” the second single from their debut EP I WANNA KNOW (out August 21st). Following their debut “Power Sip,” the new track is a dark that explores the reckless intensity of desire. Musically, it fuses driving basslines and razor-sharp guitars with fierce vocals.
I love the video, very well made, showing the band in action and the energy of the track, in between pop and punk and with some 70s elements (to my ears, at least). A very cool song, amazingly performed by the band and with a great sound as well.
Formed accidentally in spring 2024 when frontwoman Vilte stepped in for a last-minute gig, the four-piece quickly built serious momentum, selling out Berlin’s Badehaus and earning airplay on Fritz FM in less than a year.
