Austin’s own PINWHEEL is a five-piece led by powerhouse vocalist Bella Renee, alongside Billboard-charting guitarist Mark Sean (ex-Black Heart Saints), rhythm slinger James Austin Wadkins, bassist Cameron McHenry, and absolute monster drummer Terrin Burton. Together, they smash heavy, soulful, and brutal sounds into something that feels like broken glass wrapped in velvet.
Their newest track is pure high-voltage fire. The singer describes it this way: “‘Hush’ is an outcry from a younger version of myself. An angry kid who grew up to realize they are nothing like they thought they’d be. Toxic family relationships contributed to my childhood anger and ‘Hush’ is an expression of that rage, resentment, and who it made me today.” It hooks you right in with moody, chill-inducing verses—where the drumming absolutely shines, before exploding into a massive, insanely catchy chorus that makes you want to smash through a wall.
