Dear Jane is a rock band from LA, and their new single “Be a Doll” is a big FU to the people who refuse to take no for an answer in a bar.
The song captures the frustration of unwanted attention and the exhaustion that comes with having your boundaries repeatedly ignored. There’s nothing wrong with being polite and setting boundaries, but once those boundaries are crossed, there’s no reason to keep playing nice. At its core, “Be a Doll” is about taking ownership of your voice and telling that person to simply leave you alone.
