Fronted by 25-year-old vocalist Mickey, Juramento is a London-based quartet born from a shared passion for music and a university friendship that quickly evolved into something louder, heavier, and more visceral. Mickey—originally from abroad—met Charlie (drums), Sophie (bass), and Connor (guitar) shortly after moving to London two years ago. Despite being a few years younger, the trio matched his intensity and vision, and together they’ve carved out a sound that blends hard rock, grunge, and metal into something raw and unmistakably their own.
With 11 shows already under their belt across London, Brighton, and Birmingham, Juramento has begun to build a reputation for high-energy performances and emotionally charged songwriting. Their first two singles, both featured on this debut EP, have laid the groundwork—especially “Odd Time,” which has already surpassed 3,000 streams and hints at the band’s potential reach.
This EP is their first work, and it's a showcase of the sonic textures and lyrical depth that define Juramento’s identity. And while another EP is already in the works for early next year, Hallucinations marks the beginning. The first chapter. The moment they step out of the rehearsal room and into the spotlight.
Hallucinations comprises 4 songs for 17 minutes of music. A heavy and captivating riff opens the EP. The title track is hypnotical and moody, with a catchy chorus (Muse style) and peculiar verses (great drumming on the second verse). A very original one and a great start, with a very inspired solo as well.
Odd Time has a slow start, but give it a little time, and the song will be in your face and with very nervous vocals during the verses and a chorus that won't leave your brain for a while. A fantastic song, probably my favourite on the EP.
The third track Guise MM is different from what we've listened to so far. It's a Grunge acoustic song that reminds me of the atmosphere of the Alice in Chains Unplugged concert. Even in a different territory, another fantastic performance (and a classy arrangement too), with a stunning guitar solo. After a slow intro, we've got some Thrash metal riff with the closing track, Machines. The song is very unpredictable, and it fluctuates from alternative rock to heavy metal. Very interesting one for a quality EP, with lots of atmosphere and amazingly written, performed, and produced.
The band has a lot to say, and I hope this is only the beginning. Give the song Machines a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and remember to follow Juramento on social media.
