Quick Review: Queen - A Night at the Opera

Queen - A Night at the Opera

Release date: 28/11/1975

Line Up:
Freddie Mercury: lead vocals, piano.
Brian May: guitars, backing vocals, koto, harp, ukulele.
Roger Taylor: drums, backing vocals.
John Deacon: bass guitar, electric piano, double bass.

What I enjoy the most:
This album by Queen is fantastic and incredibly eclectic, showcasing the band at their best. You'll find all the different moods and influences. Heavy songs like Death on two legs and I'm in love with my car (great vocals by Roger Taylor!), pop songs like You're my best friend, folk ones like '39, strange ones line Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon, a fantastic ballad like Love of My Life and orchestral ones like Bohemian Rhapsody (best song in music history?) and The Prophet's song. Top Class.

What I didn’t like as much:
Nothing to dislike in this album. Queen at their best.

Album cover:
Great. Simple and iconic.

Rating: 95/100
Top Tracks: Bohemian Rhapsody, Love of My Life, I'm in Love with my Car.
