Formati nel 2017 a Georgetown, in Texas, il suono dei Tough On Fridays ricorda le band alternative pop-punk come Taking Back Sunday, Nirvana, Moose Blood, The 1975 e Blink-182.
"Little Italy" e "Retrospect" hanno ottenuto riconoscimento sia negli Stati Uniti che nel Regno Unito. Il loro singolo "lush", è stato prodotto da Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, Tears For Fears, The Cure, U2) e sta avendo un'audience mondiale. "Yachats" è stato prodotto con Beau Burchell (Moose Blood, r888, Saosin). Infine la band ha recentemente registrato altri tre singoli (The Story So Far, Basement, State Champs).
I Tough On Friday hanno suonato durante SXSW e al Cactus Cafe di UT. Inoltre, sono stati selezionati tra oltre 1000 contributi e filmati dal PBS show The Texas Music Cafe. Nel prossimo futuro si esibiranno nel campus del Texas State Technical College di Waco e nel Mohawk di Austin. Infine, "lush" è stato recentemente selezionato da Pandora per il suo sito.
