1) Bio:
Steady Rollin is a Latin American rock and blues band founded in 2014.

The members of the band are Benjamin Andrade - drums and backing vocals; Gerardo Pardo - bass guitar and Fernando Poma – guitarist, lead singer and composer. Even though they are a Latin American band, most of the songs are in English since more of their influences are musicians such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Who, Van Halen, Rush and Pearl Jam. Steady Rollin’s songs are mostly inspired by personal experiences that have been transformed in true stories hidden in a melody.

2) Line up:
Fernando Poma lead singer, guitarist and composer, Benjamin Andrade drums and backing vocals and Jerry Pardo bass guitar.

3) We sound like:
Us

4) Discography:
“Love and Loss” it’s our first album, it was launched on November 2017. Our second album “Stories” will be released on November 2021 of which we have already released three singles. We have included ten tracks on each album.

5) Influences:
I would say that since we were young all three of us were influenced by the music our parents listened to, musicians and bands such as Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Who, David Bowie, The Clash and many more. As we grew up, we liked listening to more contemporary bands like Van Halen, Nirvana, Rush, Pearl Jam, Metallica Guns ‘N’ Roses and more. All of the bands that you like and enjoy listening to have some influence at the end, but I would say that old classic rock/blues bands have had more influence on our music.

6) What do you write about?
Deep personal experiences, typically true stories hidden in melody…..

7) Your favourite live performance so far:
Costa Rica Jazz Café. Although we have performed in several venues in Central America, Bogota, Medellin and Cali, and they all have been special, if we have to choose one, it would be our performance at Jazz Cafe – Costa Rica in 2019. We have great memories of this show mainly because of the interaction with the audience that was very energetic with positive vibes but at the same time it was intimate even though it was a large crowd.

8) Tell us a funny story that happened in studio or on stage:
Once, during a live performance, a drunk fan was able to pass Security and started dancing having fun almost on stage and, basically, he stole the show for a moment and ended up throwing money at us onstage when the song finished.

9) Your favourite records:
Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek and the Dominoes,  Moving Pictures by Rush,  Led Zeppelin 1-4 and Houses of the Holy,  all Van Halen up to 5150.

10) A musician you would like to meet for a beer:
Fernando Poma: Eric Clapton; Mincho Andrade: Neil Peart; Jerry Pardo: Roger Waters.

11) What will you ask backstage if you were the most important band on earth:
A massage room.  Great food, great sound system, musical instruments, a bunch of groupies...
