Jaws The Shark is the solo project of Olly Bailey.
Bailey released Debut single ‘Mission Impossible’ in July 2020, which showcased Jaws The Shark in all of his frenzied glory, with just over 2 minutes of frantic hooks and melodies. Receiving plaudits from notable tastemakers such as Gigwise, Clunk Magazine and Mystic Sons, as well as featuring on a number of playlists on popular streaming platforms, most notably ‘Best New Bands’ on Amazon Music.
Following hot on the heels of the debut release, was the powerful second single ‘Andy Gray’, which saw Bailey stick with the Indie/Garage Rock formula, telling the story of the demise of a once popular, but since disgraced former sports pundit. This release also receiving support by Amazon Music, with them including ‘Andy Gray’ in the ‘Fresh Rock’ editorial playlist.
Now Bailey is back with his third release, “Still Young’.
The song is just over 4 minutes of foot to the floor energy that will not be out of place at any sweaty indie clubnight across the Country. Reminiscent of early Bloc Party and Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, it’s sure to cement Jaws The Shark as one of the most exciting and prolific acts to emerge into a post lockdown
