The Menders

When The Menders started 10 years ago as a folk trio playing the only pub in town for any loner on a Wednesday night within earshot, they could not have foreseen the changes, the ups and downs, the setbacks, the successes, and the path their music has lead them down. As the years passed, the music and the players changed, but the love of haunting, emotional, storytelling remained the same.

Honing their harmony-laced garage rock sound through places such as Neighborhood Theater, The Visulite, the Milestone, the Royal American, the Hideaway, and the Cave, the Menders have grown (and continue to grow) a following they cherish and to whom they are hopelessly devoted, like a band of denim-clad Sandra Dees.

The Menders, founding members Jonny Boswell and Jesse Watson, Wes Forbus, Phil Anderson, and Robbie Thornton, are excited to welcome the next chapter of their story with their 4th album, the Devil’s Reel. Their most mature and contemplative venture to date, the Devil’s Reel is a culmination of 4 years of original compositions, rewrites, and multiple recording studios. It is an exploration into the temptation and wages of vice and sin, the weakness of will, and the triumph of the spirit.
