Doug Kistner feat. Bill Champlin "There's The Door"

Doug Kistner is a renowned touring keyboard player and vocalist from Verona, NJ. Embracing the musical stylings of the 70s and 80s megastars like Chicago, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald, and Kenny Loggins, Kistner has forged a place for himself as a “Yacht Rock” contemporary. Doug has performed with some of the biggest names in music, including Trans Siberian Orchestra, John Waite, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Chicago’s Danny Seraphine. While Kistner is well-known among music’s elite as a go-to player, as a solo recording artist, he remains under the radar to the general public.

His latest 2021 single is “There’s The Door” featuring former Chicago vocalist, Bill Champlin and Liberty DeVitto on drums.

There's the door starts with keyboards and very well sung vocals. Drums get in after about 30 seconds and the song becomes full band with very cool backing vocals inserts, piano and nice and short guitar licks. Great classic rock bridge (with great drumming and keys) followed by a very cool nice guitar solo. The song is very enjoyable and magnifically produced.

Really cool song by Doug Kistner feat. Bill Champlin, I definitely recommend listening to it by clicking on the Spotify player below.
