Slooga - Jumpin'

Slooga stands for intense blues-rock made in Austria. The St. Pöltner Trio originally came from the Lower Austrian formation Electric Church, which was very successful from 2003 to 2009. In 2015, frontman and guitarist Mario Rudolf Sluga formed his new band Slooga, and in 2016 he released his self-produced debut album Burning Shoe. After some line-up experiments, Slooga have been presenting themselves as a newborn since spring 2020. With Dominik Kraushofer (Brutecast) on bass and Florian Hartl (Buncha Rascals, Profact, Adrenaline Kings, The Gallows' Fellows) on drums, the power trio, whose aim is to combine classic blues with modern elements, is complete.

Slooga just released a new single, called Jumpin', starting with a great pure Rock n' roll riff. The band comes in and the vocals are melodic but punchy, reminding me of a "clean" Lemmy. Bass and drums work perfectly together throughout the entire song, with solid and "tasty" fills. There is a very nice guitar solo in the middle of the song, as well.

Jumpin' is a pure Rock n' roll song, with every element you want to hear if you are looking for this genre. Have a listen by clicking on the Spotify player below and don't forget to follow the band if you like what you hear.
