Stephanie Seymour - There Was a Time

Stephanie Seymour's melodic, harmony-laden songs answer the musical question, “What happens when you combine Aimee Mann, Chrissie Hynde, and Karen Carpenter, add a dash of Matthew Sweet, and mix thoroughly with catchy hooks and memorable lyrics?” Give a listen and find out for yourself!

The new song, called There was a time, was inspired by the passing of one of her favorite guitarists, Eddie Van Halen. She began remembering when he and his former wife Valerie Bertinelli were the "it" couple in the 1980s and 1990s after his death, and a rush of great memories flooded back to her. Despite the fact that she composed the words with them in mind, they are universal and applicable to anyone who has good memories brought back by images, music, or whatever else.

She wanted to write a joyous song that people could relate to, especially given the tough circumstances that have affected us all in recent years. Give There was a time a go by clicking on the YouTube video below and don't forget to follow Stephanie Seymour on social media.
