CAUSTIC WAVES is the name of the latest project by Neil Thomas
Neil transitioned to bass as part of the harmony-driven power-pop band THE CHINASKIS after cutting his teeth as a guitarist in the alternative metal band KEITEL in the mid-2000s. Neil incorporates aspects from all of these genres into CAUSTIC WAVES, including thick crunching rhythm guitars, powerful bass, and hook-laden lead vocals supported by layers of harmonies.
This is the new single, 'REGENERATE,' taken from the upcoming 6-track album. Recording began in April 2020, just as the globe was entering a state of emergency. Neil produced, engineered, and mixed the album at his home studio in Glasgow, Scotland, over the course of 18 months. Andrea Gobbi of Carrier Waves Mastering gave the record a final polish after mixing.
