Maps of Darkness - Neurogenesis

Maps of Darkness is a transatlantic collaboration between Dmitry Iyudin (songwriter/guitarist) and Oleg Lankin (singer). Dmitry's colourful lyrics, along with Oleg's forceful and emotionally raw vocals, resulting in a punchy and modern sound, with songs that sit somewhere between metalcore, industrial rock, and alternative metal. Hugo Ribeiro plays the drums (Moonspell), Max Morton (Jinjer) did the mixing and mastering and Dmitry Iyudin is responsible for the guitars, bass, keys, and production.

This is their new single, called Neurogenesis. The song starts with some oriental influences followed by frantic drumming and relaxed vocals, but with a big impact. The electric guitars are very heavy and the riffing is top-notch. Describing the song is very difficult as it's full of different influences and it's very rich in terms of solutions, I can surely tell you that it's amazingly performed by Maps of Darkness and it's a pure quality product in terms of sound.
