Onyria - Denial

The Onyria alternative rock project, which was created in Italy in 2012 by producer/guitarist Simon J. Gillman and singer Helena, first gained internet fame by publishing rock adaptations of well-known songs. The band gradually shifted from early gothic rock-influenced successful releases to alternative music, embracing rawer thematics and a more basic sound. Their current sound is based on true alternative rock/post-grunge, enhanced with dynamics and variety, while also displaying a level of sensitivity and social critique in their lyrics.

This is their new single, called Denial. The song has a very atmospherical intro before a punchy riff during the verse exploding in a very open and powerful chorus, amazingly sung by Helena. The song is really well made and performed, and it's got a great sound. Give it a go by clicking on the YouTube player below (for a great lyric video as well) and don't forget to follow Onyria on social media.
