Stan Lynch (founder member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Texas singer-songwriter Jon Christopher Davis established the Speaker Wars, an Americana-Rock band (aka JCD). Their unusual encounter took place in Nashville in 2001, when they were both trying to figure out what had happened to the music they grew up loving and listening to.
This is their new single, called
Never Ready To Go, starting with a great old-style guitar riff. The vocals are catchy (great chorus!) and the song is amazingly produced, with a modern sound but with 70s influence. Check out the guitar solos as well, very well performed and with a great sound.
