Michael LaBella - Canyon

Michael LaBella is a Pennsylvania-based independent folk composer who has toured widely in the northeast US since 2018. There's a Morning, his self-produced solo EP, was published in 2020. He published his first album, Appalachia, in 2021, and a follow-up EP, What I Become, in 2022. I Roam, his most recent effort, was launched in May of 2022.

Michael writes about his own experiences of love, loss, friendship, nature, spirituality, and growing older in the nostalgic acoustic manner of classic American composers such as James Taylor and John Denver. In his songs, he prioritises sincerity and optimism, and in his concerts, he emphasises compassion and community.

This is his recent single, called Canyon. The song is very enjoyable from start to finish, with a great vocal performance by Michael and with a classy arrangement.
