Damn Renegades - Parasite / Skinwalkers

Damn Renegades is a Philadelphia-based riff-rocking experimental grunge trio not afraid to show their teeth while keeping their musical integrity at the forefront, blending vintage heavy classic rock and Punk DNA with hooks and melodies reminiscent of 60's vocal groups. Damn Renegades, who were born in the arid wasteland of the year 2020, have been making every step count on their quest to bring rock n roll back to the radio. Damn Renegades encourages you to raise a fist and live loudly through recorded and live mediums.

This is their new single, called Parasite. The song starts with an energetic punk rock riff, the guitars are hi-gain, the vocals are clean but punchy and the drumming is frantic and very technical. The song sounds powerful and, if I have to choose only one element of the song that hit me, the guitars are fantastic, with some refrains taken also from NWOBHM (check out the guitar solo as well). This is another single by the band, called Skinwalkers starting with a Nirvana-inspired starting riff followed again by a classic heavy metal riff. That's not it as we also have some thrash metal in the second part of the song, these guys are very eclectic and they can perform different genres being very credible in whatever they do. Check out also great bass lines during the second part of the song and some Alice in chains vibes too.
