The Richmond District - Monaco

Pat Moley, as The Richmond District, is a LA-based guitarist and songwriter who has recently embarked on his first solo project after years of performing the LA indie club circuit. The Richmond District's music is influenced by artists such as David Bowie, My Morning Jacket, The Grateful Dead, Wilco, and Pink Floyd, with a songwriting style that ranges from broad psychedelia to furious rock n' roll to throbbing space rock. Above all, The Richmond District believes that live music is a cathartic, flaming, sweat-filled, soul-liberating event. Pat's debut EP, 'Diamond Alley,' was published on all streaming platforms on September 12th, 2018.

This is his new single, called Monaco. The song opens with a strange riff very Steve Vai's style and when the drums kick in the song becomes really entertaining and engaging, with good vocals as well. The overall sound is great and the technical skills of Pat with his 6 strings are evident. The song sounds fresh and it's got lots of juicy details if you like virtuoso guitar players.
