Atticus Lane, a musician from Charlotte, North Carolina, wrote an EP during the initial lockdown following COVID-19 in March 2020. After exactly two years had passed, Seneca Burns, a veteran of the Carolina Projects Duckbeak, Home for the Day, and No Rope, joined Atticus. On February 4th, 2022, they made their debut in front of a packed house at the Milestone Club after recording an EP in late 2021.
This is their new single, called "Do You Know How Bright You Burn?", which starts with a (relatively) calm guitar arpeggio before frantic drumming starts. The song intensifies rapidly and what I really love about it is the amazing chorus, absolutely catchy and with stunning vocals. I'm not really a fan of pop/punk but this chorus is perfection. The performance of the whole band is spot on and the perfect production gives the song even more power.
